Dr. Khng sits on the college advisory committee of his alma mater Tampines Junior College (TPJC), now Tampines Meridian Junior College. (TMJC) He conducts an annual job shadowing program for interested TMJC students to experience how life is like for a prosthodontist in a day. He had also been participating in the school’s career days in both TMJC as well as Ngee Ann Secondary School.

In his free time, Dr. Khng is an avid radio controlled car racer and a car enthusiast. He has been racing for the past 26 years and had represented Singapore in countries like U.S.A, Japan, Hong Kong, Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia.
